Hotel Information:
A block of guest rooms has been reserved at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, Washington. All conference sessions will be held in this hotel. Hotel guest rooms offer complimentary high-speed internet access, multi-line phones, and even come equipped with a Fairmont umbrella as your protection from Seattle rains. Guests have complimentary access to the hotel’s full service fitness center.
The Fairmont Olympic Hotel is ideally located in the heart of Seattle, footsteps from the city's most exciting attractions, including the famous Pike Place Market, Seattle Waterfront, and Space Needle, plus a multitude of museums, theatres, shops and restaurants.
Conference Rate:
The negotiated Single and Double Occupancy conference rate for hotel guest rooms is $190+ (this is the government rate plus 25%) per night. Occupancy tax in Seattle is currently at 15.6%.
Availability of the conference rate is predicated on two factors – the number of rooms left in the block, and the cut-off date of June 20, 2008. We recommend that you make your reservations early.
Making Your Reservation:
IMPORTANT NOTE: As of Friday, May 18 there are no rooms left in the block at the negotiated conference rate of $190++ per night. We are working to remedy the situation by adding more rooms. We hope to have the situation resolved and the reservations process back up and running by Monday, May 21 at 12 noon Pacific Time. Thank you for your patience.

Online reservations: please utilize link to make your online reservation. For your convenience, the promo code (GRDAC1) has been pre-filled to ensure that you receive the conference rate.
Phone reservations: please call the Fairmont Global Reservations Center at 1-(800)-441-1414. Be sure to identify yourself as being with the SciDAC 2008 group in order to receive the conference rate.
Cancellation Policy:
Individuals are required to guarantee reservations for late arrival in cash or by use of a major credit card. Cancellation of individual reservations made up to 24 hours prior to arrival will be accepted. Otherwise, a cancellation charge equal to a full night’s stay will be applied.
