How to run PEtot

  1. Download the PEtot package PAR.ETOT.tar.gz from the PEtot home page.
  2. Unzip and untar the package on your unix machine:
    >gunzip PAR.ETOT.tar.gz
    >tar -xf PAR.ETOT.tar
  3. Read the README in the resulting PAR.ETOT directory.
  4. Following the READMEs to compile the programs.
  5. Read the documentations in the PAR.ETOT and examples to run the program.
  6. If you are not familiar with the basic concepts of plane wave pseudopotential calculations, read the "Basic concepts ..." items on this web site, they explain briefly what are the parameters used in PEtot.
